OUR MAIN FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR THE YEAR
THE REPTILE RUN – SNAKING AROUND SNOWDONIA
Do you fancy doing something interesting and different?
We are planning a rally to raise riches for the reptiles.
The rally will take place on 4th til the 8th September 2014. We will meet at the RSPCA in Brighton on 4th between 5 & 7 pm and will kick the weekend off with a fabulous barbeque before retiring to our tents for the night.
5th September we will set off for Snowdonia and will meet again in Wales where we will camp for 2 nights. After the first night we will be rising early-whirly on the 6th of September to climb Mount Snowdon. We will do the scenic climb which isn’t the easiest but nor is it the hardest it takes about 3hrs up and 3hrs back but you will be glad to hear there is a café at the top. After the climb we will return back to the campsite for a much needed rest.
Then on the 7th September it is off to beautiful North Devon where we will camp before returning to Brighton R.S.P.C.A on the 8th September for barbeque, prize giving and (camping which is optional) .
This isn’t a race but however there will be prizes given for the most money raised and the best decorated car – you can be as inventive as you like and use any vehicle you like it doesn’t have to be sign written, you can let your imagination fly.
The cost of this amazing weekend will be only £95 per person which includes ALL camping fees plus barbeques on the first and last evening. Each car will need to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship, all of which will go directly to the animals in our care. (Motorcycles are also welcome, please ask us for prices).
Why are we doing this? Well, it will be fun but more importantly we aim to improve the facilities at the R.S.P.C.A’s Reptile unit as we are 100% self-funded all the money we raise will be used to build new facilities including intake and hospital unit and new enclosures and equipment.
